just a warning about julie porter's book: it is r rated! not a little r...I mean very R!
my mom and sister liked the movie (great actresses, right?) but i always have to read the book first. wow! hard to get past the f-bombs and the sexual exploits of her friends. i'm finishing the book, but i figure most of my friends (we have a book club and are starting a blog) don't want to encounter it. i was a little disappointed because lauren winner (girl meets god) sure endorsed it! sure, it's funny and clever and informative in parts, but language and innuendo is over the top! one of the sexual references my husband could not even define! (but, then, he is a very sweet guy.) so, if you choose to read, approach with caution!
