It’s that kind of day….
Watching my children
finding their way
thru struggles and triumphs
and heartbreak
I hope the roads they take
Are making them strong
I’ll still be on my knees
Long after they’re gone
Love has made me unafraid

Thank you for sharing these thoughts, Melinda. I have been feeling that “swirl” almost constantly with one of my children for many years. I keep having to remind myself to rest – or even that it’s OKAY to rest – as I once again loosen my emotional white-knuckled grip on her life. Amy Grant’s music has meant a lot to me in my life, particularly at certain points in this daughter’s journey. You have now introduced me to another amazingly applicable song that strengthens me yet another time in this “rollercoaster” process of mothering. Still, children are a blessing from the Lord! Thanks again Melinda…this really touched me today.
