About
I am so glad you came to visit!
Home is in the west suburbs of Chicago with my husband, of 25 years (on November 10!), Dave, and our son, Kevin, who goes to our local Junior College and works nearby at the busy BPcar wash/gas station our friend, Mark, owns. Or as he puts it, “I’m an employee of British Petroleum!” Stop by – he’s at old Route 53 and Butterfield Road in Glen Ellyn!
My daughter, Kelly, works in Southern California and is taking a Junior College class called Writing for the Stage. She didn’t have a “Drama Queen” plaque in her room here at home for no reason!
Yep…with the present economy the way it is, our kids are adjusting by attending local Junior Colleges and discovering their dreams in a new way.
Up there is a picture of me in Moline, IL after one of our Moody Radio fundraising events one night at Radio Station WDLM – which covers the Quad Cities area of Illinois and Iowa. After a long day, I decided to do some pottery painting in the in the store next door. My friend, Janet, whose husband owns the Fireworks pottery shop, calligraphy-ed “Schmidt of the Day” in the middle and I painted doo-dads all around the edge. Janet definitely had the hard job! I served Dave dinner on it the other night after a big 3-days with a client and 200 of the organization’s leaders from around the country – he did a great job as we prayed he would! So he got the “special plate.” Well, you know, you make the pottery, you have to use it!
