Thoughts I love…

GRIEF I recently read a definition of “grief” that went something like this: Grief is the re-awakening that things will never be the same again. 

TRUST My friend Lynda emailed me:

“If we pray and then don’t trust that what happens is by God’s hands……..then what is the point of praying?”

 EMPOWERING“I pray that from His glorious unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit.” Eph. 3:16

Singer, songwriter Matthew West visited with me on Midday Connection 7/09. He lost his voice for a period of time, not knowing if it was the end of his career. I jotted down these comments during the interview:

1) don’t underestimate your voice – it might change – be willing to have fluid boundaries

2) hang in there with your kids – you don’t know what’s ahead for them thru the disappointments as they come (seemd he was directionless in college years)
